When we reached there, it has a very rainforest feel to it at the lobby. Once I saw the sea, my heart sank. It has been too long since I last saw or even smelled the beach. Growing up in Sabah, I am definitely a person who finds the seaside calming and rejuvenating. A clean seaside with a clear horizon of course (unlike the horizon we see at East Coast). My dream is to have a nice house by the seaside when I grow old. Then again, with the tsunami incident a few years' back, maybe I should rethink about it.
Daniel loves the sea as well!
We got a garden chalet, which is quite big I must say. They gave us a room with 2 double beds! My mistake, I didn't really check when I was booking it. They couldn't change the room for us because the resort was running full for the next 3 days! Oh well... that means more backache if Daniel and I are to share on a single bed. The service was good, nothing to complain about... Given Malaysian standard, this is actually not bad at all. The next time I come here, I would definitely try the water chalet. This place kinda reminds me of Ana Mandara, my honeymoon spot in Vietnam.
Our garden chalet...
the day bed where I placed Daniel to sleep (in case he rolls over and falls)
Spacious toilet with 2 sinks!
One of the reasons I chose Avillion is because of their facilities. Without a baby, I would opt for an island trip ANYTIME. With Daniel, I need to make sure there's clean hot water, good facilities and air-con available. My life has officially changed.
Kids' pool
Large pool
Daniel getting ready for a dip
Daniel dipping in!
Daniel trying out the neck float
Ok... he loves it!
One good thing about this trip is that ZX and I get to spend loads of time with Daniel. So much so, after the trip, he doesn't want to be carried by the nanny or even the grandparents! He wants to follow wherever we go now! Uh oh...
