Daniel's 1st Birthday - Preparation Stage

I got up at 9 am on 1 Nov and I thought "THIS IS THE DAY!". After breakfast, I went over to in law's house and start pumping balloons. My heart was full of excitement and anticipation. The caterers, balloons, cake, guests and my baby boy will all come together TODAY. So, I got Fen to help...

and she got Ivy and Melvin to help.

They were saying I was ambitious with the decorations. To me, I love beautiful things. I love to be creative. Hence, the big dramas and colourful backdrop back in my youth days when it comes to Easter and Christmas celebrations.

The decor was done up by 4 pm. Of course, there was resting and lunch in betweens. I was no longer the slave driver I used to be. Haha! So with this, I promised a TGIF meal with my decorators... probably this coming Saturday. At 5 pm, when ZX got back, we went to get the helium balloons which I think really enchanced the decor to another level!
Guests started to stream in at 6:30 pm. There was once when I was having my shower, I was thinking how to have economical decorations. Then a heavenly idea came. I have seen those party plates which cost so much lesser than banners and streamers but as colourful, why not use them on the wall?? Hence, I got some Pooh plates and 1st birthday boy plates and stuck on the wall. Voila!

Thank you Fen, Ivy and Mel! You are the best!

Touching... Prepare your tissue

I first saw this video back when I was still pregnant. It was the moment parenthood hit me, that a child will always need our love, guidance, support and above all prayers. I teared when I 1st saw this, and still do when I watched it again.
